North Branch trounces LakeVille in soccer

North Branch got a big contribution from Riley Schlaud, who rippled the mesh on four occasions. Joe Koval scored twice and with one apiece were Hunter Robinson and Brent Lange.

Assists came from Chris Nadolski, Luke Rutledge, Josh Sutton, Robinson and Koval. Brendon Perry registered the shutout between the pipes with two saves.

North Branch, 3-2, was at the Bad Axe Tournament on Saturday, following press deadlines. — B.P.

Brown City: The Green Devils were slated to play Harbor Beach Friday. No scores reported in time for press deadline. Brown City hosts Marlette tomorrow — L.P.

Marlette: The Red Raiders lost to Harbor Beach 4-1 on Sept. 6. Marlette is at Dryden this afternoon. — L.P.
